Brisbane Festival

After a few years of restrictions, it was time for Brisbane Festival to explode. With confidence. With colour. With a contemporary arts aesthetic that allowed the brand to shift and re-shape through an endless variety of moods and executions. We enjoyed this. A lot.

#2022 Festival Brand

Brisbane Festival thrives on a tension between highly creative contemporary art and mainstream family engagement. Mixing high and low art, with something for everyone but never one size fits all. Visually representing a broad festival offering for many different audiences was challenging. There is no one hero graphic and tagline that will speak to everyone, so the solution lay in something more fluid. We developed a highly adaptable design system centred around an extensive colour palette (over 70 colours in total) that captures every mood of this amazing and broad festival.
